Catena Zapata
The Catena Zapata Malbec Nicasia Vineyard is one of three top-tier Malbecs released by the winery in 2007. This wine, like its siblings, exemplifies Nicolas Catena's success and pioneering research with the Malbec grape in Mendoza.
Wine Advocate
The single-vineyard 2004 Malbec “Nicasia Vineyard” is located in the Altamira district of Mendoza. It was aged for 18 months in new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, it exhibits a complex perfume of pain grille, scorched earth, mineral, licorice, blueberry, and black cherry. Thick on the palate, bordering on opulent, it has layers of fruit, silky tannins, and a long, fruit-filled finish. It will age effortlessly for another 6-8 years and provide pleasure through 2025.

Wine Spectator
Super dark in color, loads of sweet toast and a massive core of raspberry ganache, warm fig and mocha flavors. The long, supercreamy finish shows impressive drive. A very ambitious style that pulls it off. Drink now through 2012.

Wine Enthusiast
A studly Malbec sourced from the Altamira section of the Uco Valley, then aged 18 months in new French oak. Much of this wine is fermented in plastic bins (not tanks), and the affiliated intensity grabs your attention. The blackberry flavors are potent and backed by heavy chocolate and toast. Lots of mouthfeel and power, with tannic grab. This wine can age several more years.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
