FX Pichler
When one tastes the wines, you’ll see why all the awe. They are truly monumental dry white wines – each with a mouth-filling presence, finish and complexity that leaves one speechless. This designation is used for wines derived from our mountain terraces and refers to both Grüner Veltliner Smaragd and Riesling Federspiel. The vineyard blends feature grapes sourced from small parcels on Kellerberg, Loibnerberg and in Steinertal.
Wine Advocate
The Pichler 2007 Gruner Veltliner Smaragd Urgestein Terrassen – a bottling formerly known as “Von den Terrassen”, and harvested in the second half of October – is scented with rhubarb, snap peas, and smoky Latakia tobacco. Ample and glossy-textured yet refreshing, and full of luscious melon fruit, it finishes with pungent smokiness and sizzling suggestions of white pepper, citrus zest, and crushed stone. Expect it to be interesting to follow for at least 5-6 years.

This is loaded with ripe peach, lanolin and apricot flavors that are quite plush and juicy. Spice and golden raisin fill the rich finish. Drink now through 2013.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Wines that are still in the barrel and have yet to be bottled. Futures offer the opportunity to invest in a wine before it arrives in our store.

Like futures, pre-arrivals are wines that have not yet arrived on our shelves, however they may or may not be a new release. Pre-arrivals may already be bottled and en route to our store.
